The Pharmacy Technician certification program at Wayne County Community College - Northwest Campus is designed to equip students with the essential skills and knowledge required for a successful career as a pharmacy technician. Through a comprehensive curriculum that combines classroom instruction, hands-on practical experience, and an externship, students are prepared to take on the duties of a pharmacy technician by assisting pharmacists in providing medications and healthcare products to patients. Upon successful completion of the program, students are eligible to take the Pharmacy Technician Certification Exam (PTCE) to become a Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT), enhancing their job prospects and enabling higher earning potential.
