The Dental Assistant certification program at Washtenaw Community College provides comprehensive education and training to prepare students for a rewarding career in the dental field. The program focuses on in-depth knowledge of dental procedures, dental materials, infection control, and dental radiography, with a strong emphasis on hands-on clinical experience. Upon completion, graduates are eligible to take the Dental Assisting National Board Exam to gain the Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) credential, opening doors to numerous job opportunities in dental offices, clinics, and practices.
