The Practical Nursing program is a 1,200-hour program for adults. The program prepares students for the National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX), which is a national test administered at the state level. It also meets the standards established by the New York State Education Department, Office of Higher and Professional Education. The Practical Nursing program prepares graduates in the challenging field of health care. The program integrates academic excellence with the highest professional standards while stressing the humanistic side of nursing.
