At Waco Medical Assistant School, we provide the NHA Medical Assistant CCMA study guide to our students at no extra cost. We prepare students for an 80-hour externship, a requirement to receive their certificate of completion, by week 14 of the program. Topics covered include Infection Control, Patient Intake, Vital Signs, Anatomy and Physiology, Neurology, Eye and Ear Care, Patient Scheduling, Orthopedic Medicine, Medication Administration, and Pharmacology. Students can choose their externship location or be placed at one by the school.
