Troops Into Transportation at Fort Moore, Georgia (formerly known as Fort Benning), is a premier SkillBridge program that has been empowering veterans since 2012. Specializing in transforming military service members into professional truck drivers, the program is a fruitful collaboration between The CDL School and various carrier partners. It provides a robust curriculum designed to cater to the specific needs of transitioning veterans, enabling them to gain both theoretical knowledge and practical skills. The training includes a rigorous online section for classroom education, followed by hands-on sessions at Fort Moore, focusing on essential skills such as pre-trip inspections, maneuvering, coupling and decoupling, and road training. The program also proudly supports veterans by accepting GI Bill® benefits and offering possible employment opportunities with trucking companies even before the training begins.

Furthermore, T2T places a strong emphasis on community and peer support, fostering a sense of belonging among veterans transitioning into the transportation industry. As a testament to its success, the program facilitates over 2,500 veterans each year in obtaining their Commercial Driver's Licenses (CDLs) and is a valued member of organizations such as the Association of Veterans Education Certifying Officials (AVECO) and the National Association of Veterans' Program Administrators (NAVPA). Through the Department of Labor Apprenticeship Program, it also provides veterans with the potential to earn additional tax-free income, making it an invaluable resource for veterans eager to embark on a rewarding career in transportation.
