To prepare students for the State of Florida’s Examination for Emergency Medical Technician and/or the National Registry EMT (NREMT) and for employment as certified emergency medical technicians (EMTs) who are equipped to work as part of an emergency medical team. This program also provides the first level of educational preparation for students seeking to become registered paramedics.

Tallahassee Community College, recently renamed Tallahassee State College (TSC), is situated in the vibrant city of Tallahassee, Florida. Established in 1966, it has a rich history and has transformed from operating out of a local high school to occupying a spacious 270-acre campus.
