Program Overview
Our diploma program is meticulously designed to equip students with the knowledge and skills needed for entry-level positions in the medical assistant profession. You'll receive comprehensive training in office administration procedures and the technology used in medical offices. Additionally, the program includes a 170-hour externship, with 160 hours spent in a local clinic, hospital, or physician's office. This hands-on experience allows you to gain practical, real-life insights into working in a medical office environment and practicing the required professional procedures.
Hands-On Learning
The program involves a blend of in-class sessions, out-of-class assignments, and practical activities. Out-of-class assignments may encompass reading, projects, papers, and various learning activities. Expect to dedicate approximately two hours to out-of-class activities for every one hour of lecture.
