Stautzenberger College's Academic Associate of Applied Science Degree program is designed to prepare students for a fulfilling journey in the field of sonography, with a particular focus on general ultrasound. Graduates of our program will develop a strong foundation in cognitive, psychomotor, and affective skills, enabling them to perform high-quality diagnostic ultrasound examinations.

Program Highlights:

  • Gain knowledge and understanding of human gross and sectional anatomy, physiology, and pathophysiology.
  • Recognize normal and abnormal sonographic appearances in diagnostic imaging.
  • Learn about acoustical physics, Doppler principles, and ultrasound instrumentation to optimize ultrasound examinations.
  • Understand ultrasound and tissue interactions, including the assessment of the probability of biological effects.
  • Explore the role of a sonographer in performing interventional and invasive procedures.
  • Our Diagnostic Medical Sonography program at the Brecksville Campus is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP), as recommended by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Diagnostic Medical Sonography.

Stautzenberger College- Brecksville Campus

Stautzenberger College, initiated in 1926 by William H. Stautzenberger with the goal of providing cost-effective business education, has undergone several ownership transitions over the years. In 1999, it became part of the American Higher Education Development Corporation. In 2005, the institution extended its reach by establishing a branch campus in Strongsville, Ohio. As the school introduced additional programs and saw an increase in student enrollment, it relocated to a larger facility in Brecksville, Ohio.
