This program prepares students for entry level work in law enforcement, homeland security, private/industry security, and other criminal justice, legal or public service related fields. The program prepares students to work as criminal justice or homeland security practitioners/supervisors/managers in law enforcement agencies and homeland security organizations and also provides supplemental training for persons previously or currently employed in these occupations (SOC 33-3051 Police and Sheriff’s Patrol Officers, 33-3012 First-Line Supervisors of Police and Detectives, 33-1099 First-Line Supervisors of Protective Service Workers, All Other). The program may also be beneficial to professionals seeking incentive benefits or career enhancement in the field.
