About

See how you could strengthen the nursing workforce as a nurse educator. South University’s RN to MSN program with a Specialization in Nurse Educator may help you teach future nurses or practicing nursing in a clinical setting. Our RN to MSN degree offers an opportunity to registered nurses who do not currently have a BSN degree. As a Nurse Educator student, you’ll have the opportunity to develop and practice curriculum development strategies, teaching methods, and evaluation techniques for the classroom and clinical practice through South University’s RN to MSN online* program.

Including key attributes from the American Association of Colleges of Nursing (AACN) Master’s Essentials, the core curriculum will strengthen your skills in evidence-based practice, health promotion, disease prevention, healthcare policy, and more. In your practicum and online nurse educator courses as part of this MSN degree, you’ll have the opportunity to learn how to design, implement, evaluate, and revise academic and continuing education nursing programs.

*Programs, including all Clinical/Medical programs, have a required in-person clinical, practicum, or externship. We cannot guarantee flexibility in these components of the program.
