The Dental Assisting accredited program prepares students for employment in a variety of positions in today’s dental offices. The Dental Assisting program provides learning opportunities, which introduce, develop, and reinforce academic and occupational knowledge, skills, and attitudes required for job acquisition, retention, and advancement. Additionally, the program provides opportunities to upgrade present knowledge and skills or to retrain in the area of dental assisting. Graduates of the program receive a Dental Assisting diploma and are eligible to sit for a national certification.

Southern Crescent Technical College’s Accelerated Flint River Campus is in Thomaston, Georgia. The college prepares students for occupational fields including Associate's Degree in Surgical Technology, Automotive Service Technician, Certified Nursing Assistant, Commercial Driver's License Class A (CDL-A), Construction, and Dental Assistant. Its broader academic offerings also include computer programming, computer technology, health science, practical nursing, precision manufacturing, and welding and joining technology. Programs may lead to certificates, diplomas, or associate degrees, depending on the field. Practical Nursing prepares students to write the NCLEX-PN, and clinical experiences integrate theory with practice. Automotive Technology covers maintenance techniques, electronic systems diagnostics, and performance technology. Construction Technology includes electrical construction and maintenance, masonry, plumbing, carpentry, and construction management.
