The Dental Assisting Certificate of Achievement is a Year-to-Career program, accredited by the Dental Board of California. The program provides a comprehensive education in the health sciences and in clinical dental assisting as preparation to enter the field. Clinical experience is arranged in various dental offices in Sonoma County. Students do not receive wages during their clinical training period.

The Corrections Certificate of Achievement prepares students to work in entry level positions in the field of corrections. The Certificate focuses on courses that prepare students to oversee the care, custody, and control of offenders in custodial and community correction who are serving sentences for misdemeanor and felony convictions. The Certificate is an option for students who want to start their careers while working on their AS-T degree in Public Safety.
The courses required by the Certificate are courses that are also required for an AS-T degree in Public Safety. Students can complete the Certificate and start their careers while continuing to work towards an AS-T degree in Public Safety. Completion of the requirements in this certificate can also apply to the Law Enforcement Certificate of Achievement and the Juvenile Justice Certificate of Achievement.

The Emergency Medical Technician (EMT Basic) Skills Certificate provides technical and practical knowledge and skills to meet the requirements of the California Administrative Code to gain certification as an Emergency Medical Technician Basic by the California State Emergency Medical Services Authority. Students will learn to apply principles of anatomy, physiology, and communication as they relate to the assessment of the sick and injured and rendering pre-hospital basic life support. Individuals wishing to enter the Emergency Medical Technician field will be certified after completion of this program. Every two years EMT's are required to complete the Emergency Medical Technician Refresher certificate program. Students must be 18 years of age by course completion to become certified.

The Pharmacy Technician Certificate of Achievement prepares students to be registered pharmacy technicians and for employment in a variety of pharmacy settings. Upon successful completion of the program, students will be awarded the Pharmacy Technician certificate and are qualified to apply to the California State Board of Pharmacy for registration as a pharmacy technician. Registration is a legal requirement for employment. Graduates of the certificate program are also encouraged to sit for the National Pharmacy Technician Certification Exam. While not currently a state requirement for employment, many employers provide increased compensation to pharmacy technicians once they become nationally certified.

The Business Management Certificate of Achievement is designed for students who are or will be working in a supervisory capacity. The coursework provides students with a broad foundation of information related to current supervisory issues, as well as the ability to practice with "hands-on" experiences. Students learn how to deal with employee issues in topics such as human resource management, mediation of conflict, and interviewing. Students learn to work with peers, through such classes as Effective Decision-Making, Managing Workgroups, and Managerial Leadership. Having completed the coursework, students are prepared for a range of issues dealing with managing people and building teams within an organization.

The Vocational Nursing to Nursing (ADN) Career Certificate at Santa Rosa Junior College has been approved by the California Board of Registered Nursing, and prepares the student for entry into the practice of professional registered nursing. Students receive clinical experiences in a variety of clinical facilities and community agencies throughout Sonoma County.
This program has been designed to provide an opportunity for the Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to complete the requirements for an Associate of Science Degree in Nursing (ADN) Career Certificate and be eligible to take the NCLEX-RN, the professional licensing examination to become a registered nurse, in less time than required to complete the generic ADN program.
It is strongly advised that all applicants attend a Counseling Pre-nursing Information Meeting and consult with a health sciences counselor prior to beginning the program prerequisites.

The Computer Studies: Cisco Networking Certification Training in CCNA Skills Certificate is a comprehensive e-learning program, which provides students with the Internet technology skills essential in a global economy. The program delivers Web-based content, online assessment, student performance tracking, hands-on labs, instructor training and support, and preparation for industry-standard certifications. Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), a 280-hour curriculum, is the first step in a Cisco career certification path. Particular emphasis is given to using decision-making and problem-solving techniques in the application of science, mathematics, communication and social studies concepts to solve networking problems. Students will learn how to install and configure Cisco switches and routers in multiprotocol networks using local- and wide-area networks (LANs and WANs), provide Level 1 troubleshooting service, and improve network performance and security.
