Sacramento Ultrasound Institute
The Cardiac Sonography program is 72 weeks long (excluding any holidays and scheduled breaks). It is divided between the didactic and clinical portions. The curriculum prepares students with theoretical knowledge, clinical skills, and responsibilities needed to work in the health allied medical field as an entry-level Cardiac Sonographer. Students receive eight hundred (800) hours of didactic and lab instruction, and nine hundred and twenty (920) hours of clinical rotation allowing them to apply the lecture topics to practical use. The curriculum provides students with the technical, clinical, and interpersonal skills necessary to succeed in this field. In addition, the program prepares students to take the Specialty Exam for Cardio through ARDMS.
Our program is structured to develop the foundations of sonography through a hybrid classroom. Students receive eight hundred eighty (880) hours of didactic and laboratory instruction. They also receive eight hundred (800) clinical rotation hours to master their skills. The curriculum provides technical, clinical, and interpersonal prowess to succeed in this field. Our program prepares students to take part in the ARDMS Examinations. Upon the completion of our sonography program, our students receive an accredited diploma. The program length is 72 weeks in total (excluding holidays and quarter breaks).
The students receive nine hundred sixty four (964) hours of didactic training and one thousand eight hundred sixty (1860) hours of clinical rotation, allowing them to apply the lecture topics into medical settings. The curriculum provides students with the technical, clinical, and interpersonal skills necessary to succeed in this field. Upon completion of the program, our students graduate with an associate in applied science.
The student receives six hundred seventy five (675) hours of didactic training and one thousand (1000) hours of clinical education allowing them to apply the lecture topics to practical use. The curriculum provides students with the technical, clinical, and interpersonal skills necessary to succeed in this field. Upon completion of the program, an Associate’s in Applied Science is awarded. Normal completion time for this program is 67 weeks excluding any holiday and vacation times.
The student receives seven hundred seventy (770) hours of didactic training and eight hundred ten (810) hours of clinical education allowing them to apply the lecture topics to practical use. The curriculum provides students with the technical, clinical, and interpersonal skills necessary to succeed in this field. In addition, the program prepares students to take the Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) certification offered by the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI). Upon completion of the program, an Associate of Applied Science is awarded. Normal completion time for this program is 64 weeks excluding any holiday and vacation times.
