The Practical Nursing Diploma program is a great way to get into a nursing role. Many LPNs are satisfied with their careers as a hands-on care provider. However, if you decide to advance your education to increase your scope of practice, our Practical Nursing program will provide the foundation for you to prepare for a role as a Registered Nurse.

The Massage Therapist program prepares the graduate to operate a massage therapy clinic or be employed in another health care-related setting. Massage has been shown to improve circulation, enhance relaxation, reduce pain and increase mobility and flexibility. Massage Therapists can work in a clinic, hospital, private practice, health club and a variety of other work settings. Riverland is NCBTMB Assigned School (900115). Board Certification in Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork (BCTMB®) is the highest credential within the massage and bodywork profession. 

This course emphasizes the role of the medication aide as a valuable member of any health care team. This course focuses on legal mandates for medications and proper administration in various routes utilizing the "rights" and three safety checks of medication administration. This course introduces basic terminology related to medication administration and drug reference. The course will focus on medication actions, safe dosage ranges, adverse reactions, and impact on body systems. (2 credits - 1 lecture, 1 lab) 48 hours

Students will apply classroom learning in the laboratory setting promoting safe medication administration.

Riverland’s Cisco Academy is well equipped to teach you the skills required to earn one of the most highly-valued certifications in the industry. Students who complete this four-semester course receive a voucher that entitles them to take the Cisco exam for a 50 percent discount. To make our state-of-the-art program even more appealing, Riverland’s Albert Lea campus has the only approved testing site in the area.

Courses give students the foundation and apprentice knowledge of networking for the small office/home office market. The course certificate tracks directly to Comp TIA’s A+ and Cisco’s CCNA curriculum. It offers the advantage of the same curriculum around the world so employers can depend on standardized training. Students are required to purchase a lab computer in the CPRO1000 class. The computer will be used to support the online lab components required in the hybrid courses for this program.

This Riverland comprehensive program incorporates traditional liberal arts classes with a specialized curriculum of Corrections classes. Our Criminal Justice Corrections graduates are well prepared for various careers in the Corrections field at local, state and federal institutions or in Corrections treatment programs.
