This program prepares students to become certified massage therapists. Students will learn about therapeutic massage to improve the health and well-being of their clients. The focus will be the application of manual techniques for manipulating skin, muscles, and connective tissues to assist in relieving pain and dysfunction. Instruction will include Western (Swedish) massage, myofascial release, condition or area-specific therapeutic techniques, safety and first aid, client assessment, practice management, holistic and ancillary modalities, and professional standards and ethics.
