Our 440-hour Medical Billing and Coding Programs is designed to prepare students for an entry-level medical billing and/or coding position in the healthcare industry. Once a student has successfully completed and graduated from the program, he or she will have an opportunity to work for hospitals as a Medical Billing and Coder, Claims Examiner, Clinic Biller, and Coder. He or she will also be able to process insurance claims. Students will be graded on attendance, class participation and homework. The program is a total of 440 hours, 220 hours didactic and 220 hours of externship. 

Providence Training Institute focuses on assisting students in Nursing Assistant training for Certification as a CNA or LNA to develop the skills and knowledge necessary to qualify for employment as a Certified Nursing Assistant. We focus on our students passing the Certified Nursing Assistant State Examination administered by the Arizona Board Of Nursing. Our graduates will have an option to be either certified or licensed to work in Skilled nursing facilities, Nursing homes, Hospitals and Home health settings.

This is a comprehensive and essential course, that teaches you necessary information for performing an EKG on a patient. Certified EKG Technician can often be found at hospitals, clinics, or private practices.  EKG Tech’s general responsibilities are to perform electrocardiograms on patients who may experience chest pains or other signs of cardiac problems or may be asked to help diagnose and monitor cardiac problems in patients.  Companies that provide pre-employment physicals or insurance physicals may also hire EKG Technicians to determine pre-existing cardiac problems.

Home care givers may also find this course useful if there is a need to care for at-home patients with ECG monitors.  EKG Technicians are not only meant for individuals who would like to obtain a position as EKG Technicians, many such as nurses, EMTs, paramedics or other healthcare professionals also take this course to enhance their knowledge in EKG and to perform full 12-lead EKG examinations.

In addition to various medical courses, we also offer a Veterinary Assisting program to train students in how to properly assist veterinarians in the community. The course is taught with a combination of lectures and laboratory tests in a classroom setting to administering medications to animals as directed by a veterinarian. Students in this class will also learn medical terminology and general veterinary office procedures as well as radiology and pharmacology.
