Course Aims

• You'll master the collection and processing of blood samples and other body fluids in a super safe and precise way.
• We'll teach you the ins and outs of phlebotomy, so you'll walk away with a solid knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and equipment.
• You'll learn how to handle venipuncture procedures, urinalysis procedures, and even special procedures at the point of care.
• We've got you covered with knowledge about infection control, safety, first aid, OSHA regulations, and blood-borne pathogens.
• You'll understand the need for and how to do specimen documentation and transportation.
• We'll cover quality management and legal issues.

Upon successful completion, you'll nab a certificate of completion and can go for National Certification through the American Education Certification Association (AECA). Not only that, but you'll also have the skills to be a top-notch phlebotomist/laboratory assistant, with potential to step up as a medical laboratory technician.
