The Management Information Systems Associate of Applied Science (MIS) program provides students with practical and theoretical knowledge in the areas of business and information technology. The program prepares students for successful careers as business and information technology professionals through a curriculum that integrates basic business concepts and general management principles, along with information technology knowledge and skills. Students investigate business processes related to the functional areas of business and gain experience with the most current technologies needed to support those processes. Program graduates possess a strong academic foundation which can lead to immediate workforce opportunities and/or transfer to either a Business or Information Technology bachelor’s degree program. Building on the skills learned in the Business Essentials Certificate and Management Information Systems Diploma, the AAS degree provides students with a wide-ranging number of career paths and opportunities.
Pine Technical and Community College (PTCC) is located in Minnesota and is directed by Amy Kruse. PTCC offers a variety of programs including Certified Nursing Assistant certification and much more. Their courses provide students with the opportunity to gain the necessary skills needed for success in today's job market.
