The Phlebotomy certification program at Pima Community College - West Campus offers students a comprehensive education in the procedures and techniques used in blood collection. The program is designed to prepare students for employment as phlebotomists in clinical settings such as hospitals, clinics, and blood banks. Students will learn about medical terminology, human anatomy and physiology, infection control, specimen collection and handling, and basic laboratory procedures.
