About

PCT’s Medical Coding certification course is 100% online. The course design allows you to work through the modules on your schedule from a computer or mobile device. In addition to online modules and exams, PCT assigns an instructor to each student to answer any questions they might have during the course. You can complete the course curriculum in as little as four weeks. Once you enroll, though, you have up to six months to finish. There are 300 hours of course content that covers 15 topics, such as medical terminology, record keeping, and healthcare law. You will also learn about HIPAA compliance and diagnostic and procedural coding. The course includes access to tutoring via Zoom at an affordable price that allows you to work with experienced medical professionals for additional help. Once you complete all course modules, you must pass a Medical Billing and Coding Certification Exam to graduate and go on to take the national test. PCT Medical Billing and Coding students get one voucher to take a national exam from the National Healthcareer Association (NHA), American Medical Certification Association (AMCA), or the National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT).
