Pearl River Community College offers a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer certification program that trains individuals to use ultrasound equipment to produce images of internal organs and tissues. Students in the program learn about anatomy, physiology, patient care, and medical terminology. Through a combination of classroom instruction and hands-on clinical experience, graduates of the program are prepared to take the certification exam and pursue a career in diagnostic medical sonography.
