Pacific College of Health and Science
The Associate of Science in Nursing (ADN) pre-licensure program curriculum provides the student with a greater understanding of how health impacts patients and how patient care impacts the healthcare delivery system. Students will learn a multi-system approach to care using Quality and Safety Education for Nurses (QSEN) competencies. Pacific College’s pre-licensure program meets all educational requirements to apply for licensure by examination in California and attempt the National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX-RN®). Our program offers instruction in the classroom, and clinical experiences at hospitals, simulation labs, and community agencies.
The Bachelor of Science in Healthcare Administration is a completion program designed to help those who have a background in the Allied Health field get ahead with a Bachelor of Science degree. The program is geared toward health care professionals seeking entry-level management roles in a variety of health care settings. The problem for many is that most organizations now require a Bachelor’s degree for management personnel (which can take four years to complete). The good news is that Pacific College may accept up to 60 transfer credits from an accredited Allied Health training program. Take your existing credits and transfer them into the B.S. in Healthcare Administration program to complete the program in as little as 18 months (full-time). Additionally, the Bachelor of Science in Healthcare Administration program is offered 100% online and covers many aspects of the health care industry to provide you with the skills necessary to effectively manage in the rapidly changing environment of health care.
The Master of Science in Nursing, Family Nurse Practitioner (MSN-FNP) program is focused on developing the knowledge and skills necessary to deliver nursing care to persons of all ages across primary care settings, including those in rural and under-served areas. MSN-FNP graduates are prepared for advanced clinical practice that involves individuals and families throughout the lifespan and across the health continuum. The program is designed for nursing professionals seeking advanced skills in nursing who have already earned a baccalaureate degree in nursing and have worked as an RN. Coursework is completed online and clinical experiences are completed in local primary care settings.
The Bachelor of Science in Nursing program is designed for a person who is currently a Registered Nurse and is seeking to complete the requirements for an earned Bachelor of Science degree. The curriculum provides registered nurses with a better understanding of the ethical, cultural, political, economic, and social issues that affect patients and influence healthcare delivery. Critical thinking, leadership, management, research, physical assessment, and health promotion across a variety of community-based healthcare settings is emphasized in the program.
