This program provides students with an introduction to the various disciplines and occupations in the construction industry and prepares them for entry-level positions. Students who complete the certificate and obtain related employment will have the option to continue training as apprentices in their chosen craft and receive state, national, and industry certifications. The Construction program introduces the student to a variety of construction skills such as: framing, plumbing, electrical, cabinetry, math, and tools and safety. Basic concepts from each of these areas are covered in preparation for working in the construction industry.
