Nursing Assistant Training Institute adheres to all federal, state and local public health and workplace safety requirements. The school has a comprehensive Covid 19 infection control plan incorporating requirements of the above agencies and best practices of the Center for Disease Control and the Washington State Department of Health.

This school has been licensed in Washington State under Chapter 28C.10 RCW as a licensed vocational school since 1983. Course program and objectives are approved through Washington State Department of Health, and the Washington State Aging and Disabilities Services Administration. Successful completion of this program qualifies you for State/OBRA competency testing. (testing fee additional) The NAC course includes Healthcare Provider CPR.

We are the oldest, private nursing assistant vocational school in Washington State. Christina Spencer, RN, established the school in 1983 and remains the Program Director. We are licensed by Workforce Training and Education Board, the Department of Health, and Department of Social and Health Services.

This course includes BLS Healthcare Provider CPR. New training hours include 36 hours of online lecture, 36 hours of skills training at the school, 2 hours for midterm and final exam, and 40 hours of clinical experience in a nursing home.
