About school

Nursing and Therapy Services of Colorado (NTSOC) is a distinguished nonprofit organization situated in Colorado Springs. Since its inception in 2001, NTSOC has been devoted to delivering compassionate, high-quality home care and outpatient therapy, with a specialized focus on the pediatric disabled community across southern Colorado. Beyond offering healthcare services, NTSOC empowers families by providing Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) training, particularly encouraging parents of disabled children to qualify as CNAs. This initiative not only nurtures family independence but also fortifies familial bonds by enabling parents to provide care while receiving compensation.

The CNA training program at NTSOC is a cornerstone, offering a comprehensive four-week hybrid curriculum that includes both online theory and in-person clinical experiences. Students cover key healthcare topics, from infection prevention to emergency care and personal nursing skills. Upon completion, graduates are awarded a diploma and other necessary tools to begin a career in nursing. NTSOC extends its educational opportunities not just to families of disabled children but also to veterans, nursing students, and those in career transitions, manifesting its inclusive educational philosophy. The organization is managed by a voluntary Board of Directors and receives financial support through grants, contributions, and Medicaid. By serving diverse counties like El Paso, Fremont, Pueblo, and Teller, NTSOC remains a vital resource within the Colorado healthcare framework.
