Northeast Arkansas Career and Technical Center

Northeast Arkansas Career and Technical Center’s Construction/HVACR Certified Technician program in Jonesboro, Arkansas, prepares students for construction and heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration work, including diagnosis and repair of HVACR systems. The program prepares students for EPA Universal, 410A, and Preventative Maintenance certifications. Instruction combines classroom study with hands-on laboratory training covering blueprint reading, construction techniques, electrical circuits, preventative maintenance, split systems, and refrigeration units. The program is available to students in grades 10–12. Eligible coursework may also lead to a Certificate of Proficiency Degree in Preventative Maintenance Technician through articulated college credit. Students can earn college credit for courses including Intro to Air, Basic Electrical Circuits, Preventative Maintenance, and Split Systems.
