The Certified Nursing Assistant certification program at Northampton Community College - Monroe Campus is designed to prepare students for entry-level employment as a certified nursing assistant in a variety of healthcare settings including hospitals, nursing homes, and private homes. The program includes both classroom and clinical training and covers topics such as basic patient care, vital signs, infection control, and communication skills. Upon completion of the program, students are eligible to take the Pennsylvania state competency exam to become a certified nursing assistant.
