Students studying in our Building Technology program will learn the skills needed to build a building from the ground up. New Castle, PA students learn brick and blockwork, concrete work, framing and carpentry work, exterior finishing like vinyl siding, interior drywall finishing, and traditional shingle roofing. Students at the New Castle, PA Campus will also learn about proper building codes, material costing to provide a good estimate, as well as a little bit of business and finance. NCST students also learn other building basics such as the rise and run of stairs, framing in basic electrical and plumbing, reading construction blueprints, and installing doors and windows.
