Our Phlebotomy Tech program delivers an intense and thorough 89-clock hour training course. In just 4 weeks, students will gain the knowledge, skills, and attitude required to excel in this vital healthcare role.
Phlebotomy Technicians are crucial in laboratories, hospitals, blood banks, and physicians' offices. Their role involves collecting sufficient blood samples from patients to enable accurate diagnosis.
It's important to note that a Phlebotomist's job is strictly to withdraw blood from patients and never involves inserting anything into the body of a patient.
Basic Phlebotomy Theory: 24.5 hours (6 Days)
Advance Phlebotomy Theory: 24.5 hours (6 Days)
Externship/Hands on Training: 40 hours (5 Days)
Upon successful completion, students will be eligible to sit for the National Phlebotomy Certification (NHA) examination and obtain State of California Licensure.
Though the State of California only requires 80 hours of training, we provide an additional 9 hours of classroom study to ensure comprehensive understanding before externship.
With sixteen courses offered in San Bernardino including CNA and Phlebotomy, Mission Career College aims to provide quality career training to students residing in Riverside and neighboring communities. MCC educates and trains students to become competent CNAs.
