The Culinary Arts diploma program aims to equip students with the skills and knowledge necessary for entry-level careers in various aspects of the culinary arts and hospitality fields.
This program offers a balanced approach between developing hands-on culinary skills and acquiring management qualities essential for career advancement. Students are trained to excel in diverse food service settings, including restaurants, hotels, catering operations, and institutional kitchens. The curriculum emphasizes cooking skills, problem-solving, supervision, kitchen management, and encourages critical evaluation of culinary operations with an entrepreneurial mindset.

Laurel is dedicated to providing career-focused education and professional certifications for individuals seeking employment in various careers in response to the needs of the regional employer community. We are proudly accredited by Accrediting Commission of Careers Schools and Colleges (ACCSC). Accreditation is a form of quality control, ensuring that institutions of higher education satisfy certain standards. To ensure we always meet those standards, Laurel is licensed by the Pennsylvania Department of Education, State Board of License Schools. Laurel is also approved to participate in NC-Sara through the PA Department of Education. We have programmatic accreditation through CoARC for our Respiratory Therapy program.
