The Associate’s degree in Medical Office Administration program aims to equip students with the knowledge and skills required for The Associate’s degree in Medical Office Administration program aims to equip students with the knowledge and skills required for entry-level positions in medical office settings.The Medical Office Administration program focuses on developing advanced medical secretarial skills and specialized knowledge of medical office procedures. Students learn tasks such as scheduling appointments, billing patients, and managing medical charts, reports, and correspondence. Coursework includes preparatory courses in word processing, along with medical courses covering Medical Terminology, Anatomy & Physiology, Medical Records Systems, Medical Office Procedures, Medical Law & Ethics, and Computerized Medical Billing. Graduates are prepared for roles such as Medical Office Assistant, Medical Secretary, Admission Coordinator, and Unit Secretary.
Credential Awarded:
Successful graduates receive an occupational Specialized Associate Degree.
Program Advisory Committee:
To ensure the program's relevance and alignment with industry standards, Laurel holds annual Program Advisory Committee (PAC) meetings with individuals familiar with occupational requirements. Changes to the program are made in consultation with relevant authorities.

Laurel is also approved to participate in NC-Sara through the PA Department of Education.
