The Role of a CNA

As a Certified Nursing Assistant, you'll be instrumental in patient care, working under the guidance of Registered Nurses (RNs) or Licensed Vocational Nurses (LVNs). This position is often a springboard for furthering your healthcare career, offering significant real-world knowledge and experience.

What the Program Entails

  • Well-rounded Education: Our curriculum comprises 60 hours of theory and 100 hours of supervised hands-on clinical practice.
  • In-depth Instruction: Learn from experienced nurses, gaining knowledge in crucial procedural skills.
  • Life Skills Training: We ensure you're not only equipped with nursing skills but also prepared for the job market with resume writing and interview preparation.

Upon graduation, students are eligible to sit for the California Nurse Assistant State Exam, enabling them to become certified CNAs.

Prerequisites for Registration

Prospective students must be at least 16 years of age and possess a valid social security number. Post-registration, additional requirements include a physical examination and background check.

Los Angeles Skills Academy is one of the best allied health schools in the LA area. LASA has 6 locations. Their Encino location is conveniently located at Encino Town Center. LASA offers 3 class types: CNA, BLS/CPR, and CNA Intensive. In Encino, LASA offers weekend and fast track classes. Both types are part online for flexibility.
