The Doctor of Nursing Practice program is designed to help advanced practice registered nurses (APRN) prepare for a variety of career opportunities, from direct care to educating tomorrow’s nursing and healthcare professionals. This doctoral nursing program investigates research utilization for improved delivery of care, patient outcomes, and clinical systems management. RN students of this doctorate will explore topics and proficiencies recommended by the American Association of Colleges of Nursing (AACN) guidelines for DNP education. Graduates will be well prepared for leadership roles providing patient care, developing healthcare policies, conducting research, and educating others on public health issues.
The Accelerated Bachelor of Science in Nursing program is offered in a format that allows students with a previous college degree to complete the program of study in four semesters (after general education credits and prerequisites are evaluated and/or completed).
Graduates will be prepared to provide compassionate, patient-centered, culturally competent nursing care to individuals, families, groups, communities, and populations in a variety of settings, using evidence-based knowledge and skills related to wellness, health promotion, illness, disease management, and end-of-life care to improve healthcare outcomes. They will practice in partnership with patients as members and leaders of interprofessional healthcare teams, utilizing the most current healthcare technologies. Successful completion of this program qualifies graduates to sit for the NCLEX-RN licensing exam.

The Associate of Science in Healthcare at Keizer University prepares students to perform a variety of clinical tasks including taking medical histories, measuring vital signs, assisting physicians with physical examinations, giving injections as directed by the physician, venipuncture, performance of laboratory tests in accordance with the Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments (CLIA), and performance of electrocardiograms (ECG). In addition, students will learn clerical and administrative tasks, such as scheduling appointments, keeping patient records, and preparing insurance claims.
Keiser University’s Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing (RN to BSN) is a degree completion program for registered nurses. This program emphasizes critical thinking, leadership, management, research, physical assessment, and health promotion across a variety of community-based healthcare settings. The curriculum accentuates cultural, political, economic, and social issues that affect patients and influence healthcare delivery through both online classroom and clinical components. The RN to BSN Curriculum is designed to be completed in as few as 12 months.
The framework of the RN to BSN program includes the broad competency areas of knowledge, the elements of critical thinking, skills performance, collaboration, caring and professionalism. Each of these areas are reflected in program outcomes that build upon prior learning and incorporate competencies as outlined in the American Association of Colleges of Nursing’s (AACN) Essentials of Baccalaureate Education for Professional Nursing Practice and the American Nurses Association’s (ANA) Scope and Standards of Nursing Practice.
