The Institute of Allied Healthcare's Medical Assistant Program has been meticulously crafted to endow students with vital skills such as data processing, records management, medical billing, coding, and some non-invasive clinical procedures.

  • MA-102: Safety, Infection Control, and Clinical Practice
  • MA-103: Communications
  • MA-104: Medical Terminology
  • MA-105: Anatomy and Physiology
  • MA-106: Phlebotomy and EKG
  • MA-107: Assisting in Therapeutics
  • MA-108: Administrative Practices
  • MA-109: NHA Certification Preparation
  • MA-110: Externship

Throughout this course, participants gain proficiency in administrative duties such as medical billing, bookkeeping, and arranging for hospital admission and laboratory services. Clinical duties include sterilizing medical instruments, preparing patients for examination, processing telephone prescriptions, and much more.

Upon successful completion of the program, students will be eligible to take the National Healthcareer Association (NHA) Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) national examination, a significant milestone in their journey towards becoming a medical professional.

The Institute of Allied Healthcare was started in 2015 with the mission to provide “career-focused education in allied health fields.” Nestor Lopez is the school director. IOAH offers 2 programs: CNA and Medical Assistant. IOAH is conveniently located right across from several hospitals.
