The Phlebotomy Technician program is designed to teach the knowledge in technical and procedural aspects of basic phlebotomy, including the collection of blood specimens and venipuncture required to become a Phlebotomy technician. The Phlebotomy Technician program includes theory and hands-on instruction. The curriculum includes: * Anatomy and Physiology relevant to phlebotomy * Blood collection techniques * Infection control procedures * Handling and transporting blood specimens * Patient communication and interaction Hands-on Training: Students will have the opportunity for hands-on training in a simulated clinical environment. Certification: Upon successful completion of the Phlebotomy course, students will be eligible to sit for the National phlebotomy certification exam.
