The Hemodialysis technician includes but is not limited to communication and interpersonal skills, legal and ethical responsibilities, renal health- illness concepts, hemodialysis skills, emergency procedures including CPR and first aid, safety and security procedures, medical terminology, anatomy and physiology, and employability skills. Hemodialysis technicians focus on two different capacities, one being the assembly of the equipment as well as the maintenance of the equipment and the second focus of the Hemodialysis Technician is on patient care.
