The Nursing Assistant Training Course includes 88 hours of online/classroom instruction, and 24 hours of Clinical Practicum. This course is designed to prepare Nursing Assistants for employment in long-term care. Clinical Practicum will be at a long-term care facility. The course prepares students to act as a helpful liaison between the Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) and the patient. A certified nursing assistant (CNA) helps patients or clients with healthcare needs under the supervision of a RN or LPN.
