HCTI CNA Program

Take the next step in your healthcare career with our CNA training program. Learn how to assist patients with their daily needs and gain practical experience in a clinical setting.

What Will I Learn?

  • Repositioning and turning patients
  • Taking vital signs such as blood pressure and temperature
  • Dental/denture care
  • Answering patient call lights
  • Personal care including hair and nail care, hygiene, and grooming
  • Documenting health issues and reporting to nurses
  • Feeding patients and recording their intake
  • Cleaning duties
  • Post-mortem care

Who Can Join?

  • Open to individuals aged 17 years or older
  • Applicants should have a high school diploma, GED, or reading/math comprehension at a 7th-grade level
  • Applicants must pass a background check and TB assessment

Program Duration

  • 3 weeks, 75-hour course
  • 59 hours of classroom curriculum training
  • 16-hour clinical rotation at a local clinical site

Additional costs may include purchase of a gray scrub top/pants, and a stethoscope and manual blood pressure cuff for at-home practice. On successful completion, you can opt to take the State Exam.

Hybrid Phlebotomy certification Classes

The Health Careers Training Institute is thrilled to introduce a brand new Phlebotomy Program. This is what you need to know:

  • Course Duration: It's a short and sweet, yet super comprehensive program, spanning just 64 hours of classroom time and 40 hours of hands-on externship.
  • Course Content: We cover everything from A to Z, Monday through Thursday, 5 pm to 9 pm.
  • Admission Criteria: You gotta be at least 18, have your High School Diploma or GED, and be proficient in English (reading, writing, and speaking).
  • Physical Prerequisites: Adequate manual dexterity, physical stamina, good vision and hearing.
  • Legal & Health Requirements: US Citizenship or Right to Work in US, a clean national background check, health insurance, and all required immunizations.
