This is a 101 hour dual training program which consists of 45 hours of class instruction, 35 hours in a clinical skills lab, and 21 hours at a skilled nursing facility. Upon successful completion of this training program, you will be prepared to take the state nurse aide exam and you will be a qualified home health aide. Nurse Assistants can work in hospitals, nursing homes, rehabilitation centers, assisted living facilities, hospices, and home health care. Topics covered include home health care, long-term care, patients' rights, elder abuse, communication, aging, end-of-life care, infection control, nutrition, personal care, rehabilitation, common diseases, emergency procedures, and more.
