This is a 101 hour dual training program which consists of 45 hours of class instruction, 35 hours in a clinical skills lab, and 21 hours at a skilled nursing facility. Upon successful completion of this training program, you will be prepared to take the state nurse aide exam and you will be a qualified home health aide. Nurse Assistants can work in hospitals, nursing homes, rehabilitation centers, assisted living facilities, hospices, and home health care. Topics covered include home health care, long-term care, patients' rights, elder abuse, communication, aging, end-of-life care, infection control, nutrition, personal care, rehabilitation, common diseases, emergency procedures, and more. This nurse assistant program is approved by the Department of Public Health (DPH) and is licensed by the Division of Occupational Licensure, Office of Private Occupational Schools (DOL).
