This is an 80 hour program which consists of 45 hours of class instruction and 35 hours in a clinical skills lab. This program qualifies the graduate to work at visiting nurse associations, hospices, assisted living facilities, and home health care agencies. Topics covered include home health care, long-term care, patients' rights, elder abuse, communication, aging, end-of-life care, infection control, nutrition, personal care, rehabilitation, common diseases, emergency procedures, and more.
