Upon completion of the AAS in Accounting, graduates will have the knowledge and skills to:
- Create Self-Balancing Financial Records: Develop a set of self-balancing financial records for a business enterprise.
- Maintain Accounting Records: Utilize manual or automated systems of journals and ledgers to maintain books using double-entry methods following generally accepted accounting principles.
- Prepare Financial Statements: Prepare complete financial statements, including appropriate year-end adjustments and disclosures.
- Utilize Financial Information for Decision-Making: Apply financial information to assist in decision-making processes within a business organization.
- Provide Ethical and Fraud-Free Financial Information: Provide financial information that incorporates ethical insights and is free from fraud or deception.
