The Phlebotomy certification program at Georgia Northwestern Technical College - Walker Co. prepares students to become certified Phlebotomists, skilled in drawing blood from patients for medical testing and procedures. Through a combination of classroom instruction, laboratory practice, and clinical experience, students learn the necessary skills to safely and effectively perform venipuncture and capillary puncture, as well as handle specimens and maintain a clean and organized work area. Upon completion of the program, graduates are eligible to take the National Healthcareer Association's Phlebotomy Technician Certification exam.
