Certified Home Health Aide Program

Program Prerequisites

Interested applicants are required to meet certain prerequisites:

• Residency in California
• Possession of a valid California ID card and Social Security Card
• Current CNA License from CDPH
• A clear criminal record
• Free of communicable diseases and without any medical restrictions or physical activity restrictions

Program Objectives and Description

Our Certified Home Health Aide program aims to prepare students to excel as certified home health aides. Upon successful completion of the program, students will be equipped with the following competencies:

• Proficiency in assisting clients with daily living activities at home
• Ability to inform the nursing team about changes in the client's condition
• Readiness to assist nursing staff with client care in the home
• Understanding of how to maintain a clean and safe living area for the client
• Basic knowledge of nutrition
• Ability to conduct themselves professionally with clients and their families

Upon program completion, students will receive a Home Health Aide certification from the CDPH.

Certified Nurse Assistant Training

Prerequisites

• California resident with valid ID
• Valid Social Security Card
• No criminal record or communicable diseases
• No physical activity restrictions

Objectives

• Prepare for Certified Nurse Assistant role
• Pass National Nurse Aide Assessment Program (NNAAP) exam

• Maintaining professionalism

Graduation

• Attend required hours
• Pass all assignments and exams
• Fulfill financial obligations

Post-Completion

• Eligible to take Nurse Assistant Certification exam
• Additional 30-hour skills training before NNAAP exam
