Hybrid Certified Nursing Assistant Classes
FutureCare of Irvington in Baltimore, MD offers a Certified Nursing Assistant class to help students gain the skills and knowledge necessary to become a CNA. The class covers topics such as patient care, medical terminology, and infection control. Upon completion of the class, students will be eligible to take the Maryland State CNA certification exam.
VitalStrong – Rehabilitation (PT, OT, Speech)
VitalStrong provides state-of-the-art, comprehensive clinical and rehabilitation services utilizing progressive technology, with clinical oversight by a physiatrist – a doctor of physical medicine and rehabilitation. FutureCare employs a top-notch team of physical, occupational, and speech therapists who will help you achieve your rehabilitation goals. You’ll gain a better understanding of your diagnosis and how to best manage it with our resources and education materials.
Skilled Nursing and Long-term Care
FutureCare’s unique skilled nursing program features our certified geriatric nurse practitioners, registered nurses (RNs), licensed practical nurses (LPNs) and nursing assistants (GNAs). Our nursing staff is special. They know their job is to take care of you like they would their own family, and they take pride in doing just that. Together, our nurse practitioners and attending physicians provide an enhanced care model for each patient. FutureCare’s clinical providers are extensively trained and are capable of managing a wide array of patient diagnosis and needs ranging from simple to complex.
WalkStrong – Orthopedic Rehabilitation
WalkStrong is FutureCare’s orthopedic rehabilitation program. WalkStrong is for patients who are recovering from fractures, joint replacements, spinal injuries, and other traumatic incidents that impact strength, balance, and mobility. WalkStrong is available at all 15 FutureCare locations and provides each patient with an individualized treatment plan focused on getting you home as quickly and safely as possible.
Progressive Pulmonary Care Ventilator Management
FutureCare is the largest provider of skilled ventilator services in Maryland. For over 20 years FutureCare has been recognized as a leader in Maryland for the development and delivery of specialized Progressive Pulmonary Care programs. This expertise enables us to provide both short-term ventilator weaning services, as well as long-term ventilator and tracheostomy management. Our interdisciplinary team focuses on improving functional ability and overall quality of life for our patients. Our respiratory therapists work directly for FutureCare (not an outside agency) which benefits you, or your loved one with better continuity of care.
HeartStrong – Cardiac Rehabilitation
The HeartStrong program is designed to meet the clinical and rehabilitation needs of those who have been diagnosed with cardiac illnesses such as Coronary Artery Disease, Congestive Heart Failure, Myocardial Infarction, and other cardiac diagnoses along with procedures and treatments including: Cardiac Stenting, Clinical Care Post Pacemaker, Implanted Defibrillator (ICD), Life Vest Monitoring, Valve Replacements, Complications from Cardiac Catheterization, Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting (CABG).
