The HVAC Apprenticeship program prepares students for employment or advanced training in the heating, air conditioning, and refrigeration and ventilation industry. Registered Apprenticeship is a highly structured training system in which the apprentice works full-time (40 hours per week) during the day for a sponsoring employer, learning skills of the trade. Apprentices earn a progressive wage—as their skills increase, their wages increase (usually every six months). There are both union (joint) and non-union (non-joint) programs. Apprenticeship programs are required to follow state and federal apprenticeship rules and regulations. The Heating and Air Conditioning Installer Servicer Apprenticeship program is a three-year program. Students must be working in the field to be eligible for this program.
Financial aid may be available for those who qualify.
