Hey there, future Medication Aide! Our training program at Dallas Career Institute is all set to prepare you for a career in administering medications under the watchful eye of licensed nurses.

What's the job about?

  • Administering oral and topical medications to residents

  • Performing tasks as ordered by a physician

  • Working under the supervision of a licensed nurse

  • Complying with state, federal rules, and facility policies

Our program is conducted by qualified instructors who'll guide you every step of the way.

Who's it for?

You're a good fit if you:

  • Are a CNA working in a long-term care facility (home health agencies aren't considered as qualified facilities)

  • Can provide proof of High School completion

  • Are at least 18 years old

  • Aren't listed as unemployable on the Employee Misconduct Registry (EMR)

  • Haven't been convicted of a criminal offense listed in the Texas Health and Safety Code §250.00

Dallas Career Institute is located in the Dallas/Fort Worth area of Texas and is led by director Joe Onyema. The school provides a variety of healthcare programs, such as Certified Nursing Assistant, Certified Medical Assistant, Phlebotomy, Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) and Patient Care Technician.
