Pediatric Advanced Life Support- PALS Update (Renewal) Course
This class teaches those who are part of advanced resuscitation teams for children and infants how to recognize seriously ill children and how to treat and manage their condition. Advanced Resuscitation utilizing assessment, manual defibrillation, pacing and cardiac drugs, as part of a resuscitation team. This class is intended for those who have a current ACLS (unexpired) card.
Pediatric Advanced Life Support- 2 Day Provider Course
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) is a classroom, video-based, Instructor-led course that uses a series of simulated pediatric emergencies to reinforce the important concepts of a systematic approach to pediatric assessment, basic life support, PALS treatment algorithms, effective resuscitation and team dynamics. The goal of the PALS Course is to improve the quality of care provided to seriously ill or injured children, resulting in improved outcomes.
Heartsaver Course- CPR/AED/First Aid Combo
The Heartsaver CPR AED and First Aid course teaches CPR, AED use, relief of choking in adults and children, and infant CPR and relief of choking, and use of barrier devices for all ages. First Aid portion teaches how to manage illness and injuries in the first few minutes until professional help arrives. Course content includes General Principles, Medical Emergencies, Injury Emergencies, and Environmental Emergencies. This course is designed for non-healthcare providers and students receive an e-card good for two years.
Basic Life Support (BLS) Heartcode Skills Validation
BLS Skills Validation Sessions are by appointment only. Please either call us at 301-681-4300 or email to: [email protected]. Audience: Physicians, Nurses, Physician Assistants, Nurse Practioners, Paramedics, Respiratory Therapists, and any healthcare provider who performs basic resuscitation as part of their duties. Instructions: Each course participant must first go online to elearning.heart.org and complete the Heartcode BLS (2020) Part 1 online course and print their certificate(s) of completion prior to signing up for a skills validation session.
BLS for Healthcare Providers – Initial/Renewal Course
The BLS for Healthcare Providers – Initial/ Renewal Course is designed to provide a wide variety of healthcare professionals the ability to recognize several life-threatening emergencies, provide CPR, use an AED, and relieve choking in a safe, timely and effective manner. This class is intended for those who have a current unexpired/expired card or those who are seeking this class for the first time.
Heartsaver Course- First Aid Only
The Heartsaver First Aid course teaches how to manage illness and injuries in the first few minutes until professional help arrives. Heartsaver First Aid/CPR AED Skills Validation
The Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED blended learning is where the student first completes the AHA Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED online Part 1 class, then have their skills tested at our Training Center. This course is designed for non-healthcare providers and students receive an e-card good for two years.
Infant CPR and Safety for Ages 0-1
This course is a 2-hr. instructor-led course, and covers CPR and choking or infants ages 0-1 yr., along with informational packets covering various safety topics. Please see the next available class date below to register and pay online. The $50 course fee includes your Family & Friends Student Manual, which you get at class. Please note there is no formal course completion card for this course, but there is a certificate cut-out at the back of your student manual. In person CPR / Basic Life Support Classes
