Cook Hospital & Care Center
The Cook Hospital Wellness Center was newly built in 2005 and provides a clean and modern atmosphere to work out in with top of the line equipment. Exercise is an important investment in our daily lives to prevent injury and illness in order to maintain an active lifestyle as we age.
The Wellness Center is open for public use and includes a full assortment of exercise equipment for upper and lower body circuit training and cardiovascular exercise, as well as general fitness and strengthening. We have day use lockers available to store change of clothes and to lock valuables.
All Wellness center members must fill out a medical history questionnaire, informed consent and release, and have an orientation prior to use. Orientation consists of an introduction to the different pieces of equipment by one of our rehab staff professionals including how they work and how they can be adjusted to fit you personally. Orientation is free to all members. You can call 218-666-6225 or stop by the rehab desk to schedule your orientation.
We also offer a one month free Wellness membership to all patients following completion of therapy to encourage continued wellness. Wellness center hours for the public are Monday-Friday from 7am-5:30pm, excluding holidays. Reduced hours of operation (including closure) will be posted in advance.
Please feel free to come in during operating hours to check out what we have to offer and learn more about your membership opportunities.
Occupational Therapy focuses on helping individuals achieve independence in all areas of their lives throughout the lifespan. Our trained therapists can help individuals regain, develop, and build skills that are important for independent living.
Our occupational therapy professionals will individualize treatment programs, recommend necessary adaptations to the home/work/school environment, and instruct individuals in home programs.

All patient meals are prepared in the facility kitchen, however there is a kitchen area with snack items and an ice dispenser.
