Concorde's Respiratory Therapy program prepares students to enter one of healthcare's most vital specialties. Respiratory therapists (RTs) must develop a strong understanding of cardiopulmonary anatomy and physiology, as well as the disorders and diseases that affect the lungs and heart. Equally important is knowing which therapies and clinical interventions are appropriate for each patient situation.

Through Concorde's Associate of Applied Science degree program, students gain the medical knowledge and hands-on skills needed to treat patients managing conditions such as asthma, cystic fibrosis, emphysema, and other respiratory illnesses.

The program can be completed in as few as 17 months, offering an efficient route into a profession that plays a direct role in patient survival and quality of life. Upon graduation, students are prepared to sit for the Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) exam administered by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) — a key credential for entering the field professionally.
