Overview

Columbia Southern University’s online Bachelor of Science in information technology is designed for individuals who wish to integrate the discipline of IT within a business context. The degree program analyzes the development, maintenance and management of computer-based IT systems in organizations. Graduates of this program will be able to create, maintain and provide IT and business-related solutions in many environments, including private businesses, publicly traded organizations, government, military and other IT infrastructure.

Program Description

The Bachelor of Science in Information Technology degree program is designed for individuals who wish to integrate the discipline of information technology within a business applications context. The program of study analyzes the development, maintenance, and management of computer-based information technology systems in organizations. This online degree program includes extensive training in the application of recordable information and knowledge along with the services and technologies to facilitate their management and use. Courses cover the key concepts of information technology, information systems management, and interpersonal and organizational communications. Graduates of this program will be able to create, maintain, and provide information technology and business-related solutions in banking, government, academia, legal and judicial systems, the military, or any entry-level management position.
